Average age of the vines: 25 years

Soil: clay and limestone

Harvest Period: hand harvest in the second half of August

Vinification: following hand harvest and traditional red wine maceration, wine is aged 6 months in new barriques and 18 months in French oak barrels.

Alcohol Content: 14% by vol.

Residual Sugar: 2 grams per liter

Color: intense ruby red

Aroma: notes of red fruit, cherry, plum and blackberry with hints f myrtle and licorice root

Palate: smooth tannins, velvety texture, long finish

Food Suggestions: grilled meat and fish; hearty pasta dishes; wood-fired pizza

Serving Temperature: decant it and serve at 12° C / 53° F
