Fattoria Astorre Noti in Ruppiano
The name of Tuscany is synonymous with wine and olive oil worldwide, Tuscany is Italy’s most famous wine production region thanks to Sangiovese grapes, the most prominent, and many others; Sangiovese is the backbone of Chianti, the most popular red Italian wine in the world.
Tuscany also reminds us of one of the most fascinating and romantic places in the world.
For those and many other reasons, for the love for this region, Tuscany has been elected as the first production site where to begin cultivating grapes and olives “under the Tuscan sun”.
Our Tuscan agriculture estate Fattoria Di Ruppiano is situated in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, where we are registered with the “Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico Gallo Nero”.
The Ruppiano property is comprised of 32 acres of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and a fully operative cellar. It truly is the heart of Alma Wines’ production in Italy.
It allows us to follow all of our production “on the ground.”
This includes everything from growing new “crus” to optimizing the existing production of wines arriving from other growers throughout the country. This new venture represents the deepest roots of Alma Wines, literally and figuratively, allowing us to stay close to production and ensure the upmost quality of every single wine we bottle before distributing them around the world.
It also comprises a cultivation of olive trees (Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino) that allows us to produce our high quality extra virgin olive oil.
