All the glory of Mediterranean Italy is expressed here, through a patrimony of highly resistant grapes grown in sun-kissed soil that fills their every drop with the splendor of summer. This is the concept behind a line that captures the typical qualities of Puglia and Sicily’s best-loved grape varieties, like Negroamaro, Primitivo, Nero d’Avola, Grillo and Viognier. Lengthy exposure to the sun in ideal microclimates gives these wines a splendidly balanced character and a heart that expresses all the qualities of the local area. Large, lively flavors, a smooth velvety consistency, and a firm structure are characteristics shared by both the Primitivo and Negroamaro varieties. These two varieties are native to the areas of Manduria and Sava, which have recently become important landmarks for local wine production and are responsible for monitoring the various steps in this particular Alma process, as the wines are also processed and bottled locally.
The line’s Nero d’Avola and Grillo-Viognier wines are also grown and produced between the vines and wineries of Trapani and Marsala, at the western end of Sicily. These eclectic and modern blends recall all the elegance and tradition of the local terroir.
